2015 Tennessee History Day – STA Award for Archival Research

2015 Tennessee History Day Statewide Competition is fast approaching! Sat. April 11, 2015.

$50 will be awarded to the best History Day project in both the Junior Division and Senior Division that uses primary sources such as letters, diaries, personal papers, photographs, etc., for research on a historical topic. The sources must be from an institution located in Tennessee. Primary sources in Tennessee can be found in archival repositories such as city or county archives, church archives, history museums, local history departments in libraries, or the Tennessee State Library and Archives. Special consideration will be given to students who do onsite research at the repository rather than using online resources.

STA Member Natalie Goodwin is our coordinator for judging the STA Award at the Statewide Competition. We are in need of judges for the competition, if you are able to assist please contact Natalie. Our thanks to Natalie for volunteering in this worthwhile endeavor!
